Family is at the heart of all we do at the King’s Centre. We have been using the picture of Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem in the Bible to describe what we want to do at KC. We want to rebuild God’s family in our city. The great news is that we all get to be involved. We use three words to describe what we do:
Restored – dealing with our stuff
Empowered – playing our part
Sent – bringing in the broken
What we’ve found is that the best place to be restored, empowered and sent is in community. We want to be led by God and allow Him to move in our lives. Our communities are extended families who each have a different focus but all want to get to know God more, grow in relationship with each other and reach out to the people around them in love.
You can watch our vision video to see more about who we are and what God is doing:
Community is so important to us that on the 3rd Sunday of each month we don’t actually have a service – instead we meet out in our different communities. We would love for you to get involved with a community. Below we’ve listed all of our current communities and what their vision is. If you want more information about our communities why not send us an email or speak to a member of the welcome team on a Sunday morning?
